Everyone played an important part in assisting in the development of the Retired Caribbean Nurses & NHS project. Some gave of their time and resources. Others gave of their resources and expertises. No matter how small, every contribution were well received, and greatly assisted in the delivery of the project Retired Caribbean Nurses & the NHS.
Meetings, emails, telephone calls and discussion groups were some of the means by which the project manager and project officers exchanged ideas, and thoughts about the Retired Caribbean Nurses & the NHS.
On paper Black Women in the Arts had secured funding from Heritage Lottery Fund https://www.hlf.org.uk/ , as our first major partner, for the Retired Caribbean Nurses & the NHS project. Prior to the Heritage Lottery Fund for this project, Black Women in the Arts had verbally secured the partnership of Hackney Museum and London Metropolitan Archives. The organisations new that its next steps in securing partners would be to involve, nurses, community organisations and others in the delivery of: Retired Caribbean Nurses & the NHS project.
Team work would be one of the key elements that would drive the project. Black Women in the Arts (www.blackwomenart.org) began the task of putting Retired Caribbean Nurses & the NHS project together. The success of the Retired Caribbean Nurses & the NHS would be dependent on the involvement of partners working towards this common goal.
Below is a display of some of the logos that appeared on the first general leaflet for the Retired Caribbean Nurses & the NHS project, that kicked started the project.
